On the occasion of Spasovdan, the patron saint's day of the Municipality of Nevesinje, the Municipal Assembly awarded the highest municipal recognition, the Charter of the Municipality of Nevesinje, to Radovan Višković, the Acting Director of the Public Enterprise "Autoputevi Republike Srpske" d.o.o. Banja Luka. Through this award, the municipality expressed its recognition and gratitude for all his work, effort, and dedication to the development of this Herzegovinian local community.

The rationale for the decision to award this highest municipal honor stated that Nevesinje is thus showing recognition and paying respect to Radovan Višković, who, from his position as the Prime Minister of Republika Srpska, made an immense contribution to the development of this municipality. This was primarily achieved through his support for the implementation of major infrastructure projects, which serve as the foundation for creating favorable living and working conditions in a local community. Following the vision and support that Višković provided to Nevesinje during his nearly seven-year mandate as Prime Minister of Srpska, this municipality has made a significant stride forward toward economic and industrial growth.

Expressing his gratitude for the honor bestowed upon him, Director Višković stated that it is a pleasure to know you are not forgotten after stepping down from such an important office as the position of Prime Minister of Republika Srpska.

The honor is even greater, Višković added, because the recognition comes from a municipality that holds a most significant place in the freedom-loving history of the Serb people, given that the fight for freedom against occupiers began precisely in Nevesinje a century and a half ago. With the same fervor and desire for freedom, Nevesinje's residents entered the Defense-Homeland War in the 1990s, firmly holding their ground on the defense lines of the then newly created Republika Srpska.

Director Višković stated that he is particularly proud of all the projects implemented in the past period, as their execution has led to an increasing number of newborns in Nevesinje today, the rising of new homes for young families, and the opening of new business opportunities for every individual. All of this indicates, as Višković noted, that every decision by the Government to support Nevesinje was timely and fully justified.

Director Višković congratulated all citizens of Nevesinje on today’s Slava, Spasovdan, promising that, in his capacity as Director of the Public Enterprise "Autoputevi Republike Srpske," he will continue to support the development of this part of Republika Srpska by executing major infrastructure projects that will transform the image of the entire Herzegovina. One of these projects is certainly the Adriatic–Ionian Highway, i.e., the motorway that will run from Italy, through Croatia and a part of Herzegovina, Montenegro, all the way to Greece.

Prior to the award ceremony, Director Višković attended the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy and the litany through the streets of Nevesinje, marking Spasovdan, the Krsна Slava of the Church of the Ascension of Our Lord and the Municipality of Nevesinje.
