JP "Autoputevi Republika Srpska" d.o.o. Banja Luka financed the development of the General Design for the expressway section in the eastern part of the Republic of Srpska, on the north-south corridor. Several alternative solutions were considered, and after a multifunctional analysis, a variant with a total length of approximately 160 km was selected.

The General Design with accompanying studies was developed by the company Institut za građevinarstvo "IG" d.o.o. Banja Luka, and it was completed and delivered in March 2021.
